Hill and Coastal Walking
The Outer Hebrides, an environment without equal, is perhaps best explored on foot. The island landscape provides some of the remotest countryside in the British Isles and offers wonderful opportunities to escape from the bustle of every day life.

Our guided walks allow you to breathe in the unparalleled atmosphere of these islands steeped in history, rich in archaeological remains and with a fascinating array of wildlife and plants.  We offer a range of walks suitable for a variety of ages and abilities, from short low level tranquil coastal walks to the more rigorous full day, high level ridge walks. Expeditions are led to "wild country" locations throughout Scotland where nights are spent under canvas.  Day and half day trips are available as well as five and seven day expeditions in the Outer Hebrides, Skye and the Scottish Munros.

All walks are led by experienced, qualified and well informed instructors and transport is provided by our 12 seater Land Rover mini bus.  Safety and navigational equipment is provided.

With Uist Outdoor Centre you can:
