In recognition of the high standards and the unparalleled quality of
the sea kayaking environment,
the Centre has been accredited as an
expedition centre for The Nordkapp Trust,
which recognises centres of
excellence in unique sea-kayaking areas around the world.
It is
currently the only Scottish centre to achieve this recognition, one of
only two in the British Isles,
and one of only eight worldwide.
Uist Outdoor Centre is licensed and regularly inspected by the
Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.
